Don't miss out on beautiful prairie vistas and a truly one-of-a-kind event at the inaugural Thunderhawk Wide Open. The race takes you through some of the most iconic and remote land in the Old West. And finishes with a first-class celebration.
The event namesake, Chief Thunderhawk, was a prominent member of the Hunkpapa. His prowess on the battlefield and leadership off it was held in the highest regard. In an effort to honor and educate, the Thunderhawk Wide Open is collaborating with the Sitting Bull Visitor Center to provide racers with a one-of-a-kind cultural experience as they traverse the Standing Rock Reservation and pass through the community named after the Chief.
We love you!
We couldn't have done it without you!
You don't have to be on a bike to help make this race a success. Any donation will go a long way to help this one of a kind event. Any potential profits go toward expanding access to cycling in the Grand River Area. Don't have any extra scratch laying around? We accept gently used bicycles and volunteers too!
